Description of daily life
I get dressed in the morning myself. I have my meals in the dining room of the living facility. I have a nap during the day. Sometimes I go shopping and for a walk with an assistant. I no longer use a bike. I like music, reading and watching TV. In the evenings, I go to the facility's lounge to play memory games. I have no special highlights in my daily life. I need help for washing myself. It's a little difficult. I use taxis a lot.
Concerns
My sister has been in the hospital for several months. I don't really know anything about her situation. Will she ever get out of the hospital? I don’t feel like going to visit her. It would upset me.
Housing
I have been living here for several years. At first it was a bit strange and harder. But I soon got used to it. Living here also feels safe. I get on well with my neighbours.
Friends and family
I have three sisters. One of them lives a bit further away. Two of my sisters live in the same city. We keep in touch by phone.
Service use
I travel by taxi myself to go and have a massage. I go shopping with an assistant.
Turning points of life
The deaths of my mother and father. My mother died a short while ago. My father died some time before my mother. Going to confirmation school.
Use of digital devices
I can say very little about digital devices. I don’t use any. I can manage without them.
To conclude
When I can read a book and listen to music on the radio, I am having a good day. I also have tapes but I have not been listening to them.
