Female 53 years Vietnamese

Oma- tai vuokra-asunto, Uusimaa

Description of everyday life

I'm a 53-year-old woman from Vietnam, and I've been living in my own house in the Uusimaa region of Finland for the past 6 years with my spouse. My typical day involves taking care of the house by cleaning and doing the grocery shopping. Once a week, I attend Finnish classes.

The highlight of my day is when I get to play with my grandchildren, and I also love dinner time when everyone gathers together. I'm happy that I can make my own decisions.
Unfortunately, I have a spinal problem that causes me discomfort. I wish there was some technology that could completely fix my problem, instead of just relying on painkillers. I find pleasure in having easy access to financial help, and I sometimes worry about my health. Whenever I feel lonely or sad or when I'm sick, my husband and children are always there to help me.

Even though I'm satisfied with my current apartment, I would like to move to a bigger and newer house. I enjoy spending time outside and exercising. When it comes to digital devices, I'm interested in technology. I own a phone, and I feel that a good device would be a medical device that could be useful for my spinal problem.

The important people in my life are my spouse, children, and grandchildren. Moving to Finland and adapting to change was a life turning point for me, but the most important thing that I definitely don't want to give up is my self-confidence.
