Female 64 years Iranian

Oma- tai vuokra-asunto, Uusimaa

Description of everyday life

I am a 64-year-old woman from Iran, and I've been living in Finland with my spouse for 13 years now. We have a rental apartment in the Uusima region, and my day usually starts with house chores, working outside, cleaning, shopping, and cooking. I also make sure to take a walk every day to keep myself active and healthy.

Despite struggling with diabetes and other health issues, I am grateful for the peace and good health I have every day. I am a strong-willed woman who makes my own decisions and enjoys being independent. I am always eager to learn and interested in digital technology, but my economic status prevents me from buying everything I desire.

I feel safe in Finland and in my own house. My husband and sometimes friends help me with chores, and I go to physiotherapy once a week. I am also involved in community work and participate in an organization for the elderly. Luckily, my house is located near amenities, so I don't have to travel far for groceries.

I own a mobile phone, but I don't know how to use all its features. I am open to technology and believe that it could be useful to me if I learned more about it. My important people are my spouse, children, sisters, and grandchildren. Although I don't know my neighbors well, I feel content with my life and am grateful for the peace and health I have.

In difficult times, I encourage myself to keep moving forward. I believe that peace and health are the most important things in life, and I always remind myself of that. Despite my struggles, I remain optimistic and look forward to each day with hope and gratitude.

To the service provider, it's essential to understand the unique needs of individuals like me. By providing support and education, service providers can help improve my quality of life and empower me to take control of my health and wellbeing. Thank you for listening to my story.
