Female 68 years Iranian/Finnish

Oma- tai vuokra-asunto, Uusimaa

Description of everyday life

I am 68 years old. I'm originally from the center and historic part of Iran, but now I'm a Finnish citizen, and I live with my husband in a 37m2 owned apartment in the Uusimaa region of Finland for 12 years. My day starts with house chores like cleaning, shopping, and cooking, but what I love the most is when I'm painting, working in my gardens, or cooking. I also enjoy sports, and I sleep well, which is great.

I can make my own decisions, but my husband and I often decide things together. Our days are usually planned. They are the same every day. I am interested in digital devices and enjoy learning new things. Learning the Finnish language can be both helpful and challenging, but I'm doing my best. Sometimes, I worry about my home country, Iran, but when I need help, my husband is always there for me. And when I feel lonely or sad, I listen to music or read a book.

Living in Finland makes me feel safe, and I appreciate the sense of security it provides. Peace is what matters to me the most, and that's what increases my housing satisfaction. In the future, I would love to have a vacuum robot to make my life easier.

My children are always there for me when I need help. I enjoy walking, I walk for 1 to 2 hours every day. I attending community events, and participating in low-impact exercise. I'm lucky because my house is located near amenities, so I don't have to travel far to get groceries.
I own a phone, but I would also like to have a computer. Technology is good, and it provides useful information. I would be interested in technology that would help me learn the Finnish language easily. My spouse, children, and other relatives are the most important people in my life. Moving to Finland was a turning point for me as everything was different, but I adapted well. One of my future plans is to travel and visit my brothers and sisters in the USA and Canada.

Peace and freedom are crucial to me, and I value them greatly. To the service provider, I think it's essential to understand the unique needs of individuals like me and provide support and education to improve our quality of life.
