Female 75 years Syrian

Oma- tai vuokra-asunto, Uusimaa

Description of everyday life

I'm a 75-year-old lady from Syria living in Uusimaa, Finland. I've been living in a rental apartment for the past four years, and I spend most of my day taking care of the household. I clean, shop, and cook, and the highlight of my day is when I visit my children and have my grandchildren over.

Most of the time, I make my own decisions, but sometimes my children make decisions on my behalf. I'm interested in getting help from my children when I am applying for something or dealing with the bank, and I like spending time with them and my grandchildren. I enjoy picnics and walking. I'm happy and have nothing to worry about, and whenever I feel lonely, sick, or sad, my children take care of me. I also pray a lot.

I'm happy with the house I live in, and my children are paying for my rent because I wanted to live on my own. I needed my privacy. I enjoy planting gardens, and I spend my time outside the house. I do my own groceries and everything else.

When it comes to digital devices, I have a watch that counts my steps and a phone, and I like them. I feel technology is good, and I would like to have a vacuum robot in my house to help me clean the house.

The important people in my life are my children and grandchildren.
